Veronica Appleton

Passionate individual with 5 years of experience in public relations, journalism, marketing and communications, with skills developed in on-campus promotions for clients. In 2010, Veronica graduated form Purdue University with a degree in communications and political science, with an additional semester spent with the Purdue Department of Engineering to create a continuous positive airway pressure device for Indiana residents with pulmonary issues in case of a pandemic. Veronica is currently entering her second graduate year in a Master of Arts program in healthcare communications from DePaul University; and plans to defend a dissertation in "Breast Cancer: Elements of Emotion." In the near future, Veronica plans to combine both talents in communications and healthcare, and to develop skills in healthcare, which include integrating productive communication, understanding the flow of patient care, and recognizing the importance of good clinical practices.
