Got degrees in journalism and history. What I really wanted was a spot on the Kansas University basketball team. But they had taller, faster players who could shoot accurately. So, instead of basketball, I learned to write clearly, concisely, and correctly. I started as a staff writer on the 37th floor of the 82-story Amoco Oil building. I now freelance from San Diego. Between these gigs, I have been a marketing director, ad-agency co-owner, PR flack, and trade show consultant.
