My first bird was a robin shown to me by my grandmother when I was 2 years old, and I've been having birding adventures ever since! My husband, Phil, and I have traveled all over the US and parts of Central and South America. A few years ago I organized a small group of like-minded outdoor women who take monthly and annual trips in pursuit of birds, wildflowers, and anything else in the natural world. I taught at a nature center for 25 years, have been a journal writer all my life, write a bird column for the Palm Beach Post, and am now ready to share my notes!
