My family consists of two kids, three cats, a dog and a husband. The two kids are grown now, both products of a homeschool education, for good or for bad. I’m not going to lie and say that homeschooling isn’t without it’s negatives, socialization NOT being one of them, but for us it was a blessing and a no-brainer. You see, I was one of those moms that sent their kids to school and missed them terribly, and then, when summer came, I literally rejoiced at having them back with me! So, homeschooling seemed to be the answer for us. Now both kids are in college though, so my nest is empty-except for the three cats, large dog and husband. 22 years ago I married my best friend-and we’re still going strong. I could my blessings every day…ok, maybe not every minute of every day. He works for Caterpillar and so he often works long days and we seem to move every couple of years-yet another reason we home schooled. We’re now stationed in middle-IL, something I battle every day to find contentment in. You see, this CA girl wants more sunshine throughout the year, and I especially miss my MS sisters that I adopted along the road of our moves. Well, I have wanted to blog for a long while now. I was inspired by a good, beautiful friend who went to be with the Lord about 6 years ago. Her life was full and her soul was happy. She learned in whatever situation came her way-literally. She learned how to install toilets and doors, sand her floors with a power sander-the list goes on!-and that quality, you see, inspires me to want to emulate her. I too want to live to discover in every situation I find myself in, and since I love to write and ramble, here I am. I hope that you enjoy your time “listening” to my musing. For those who know me, the name fits, ya know? Wishing y’all peace in Jesus, me
