UK-based

I am an open education practitioner and researcher working in the area of technology-enhanced learning for English Language Teaching (ELT) and English for Academic Purposes (EAP). With the Support Centre for Open Resources in Education (SCORE) at the Open University and with the English Language Centre at Durham University in the UK I have developed the TOETOE project: Technology for Open English - Toying with Open E-resources. I’m also a doctoral candidate in Educational Technology at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. Being somewhat nomadic, I’ve gained experience and understanding from learning, teaching and researching across different academic contexts, including HE institutions in the United Kingdom, Canada, Korea, and New Zealand (my country of origin). Increasingly, I’ve been drawn to working in the area of Open Educational Resources (OER) for academic practice in HE institutions, and with NGOs to devise educational interventions for under-resourced communities.
