Ethics: Aje

BA Film Favorite book: The Kite of Stars by Dean Francis Alfar. It is one of those love stories that's not "cheesy" in any form. It's beautiful, gut-wrenching and bittersweet with similar sensibilities to the writings of Federico Garcia Lorca and Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Favorite film: Hedwig and the Angry Inch. It's gritty. It's queer. It's elaborate. And it's a musical, too, so I'm a goner. Favorite media practitioner: John Waters. He's one of the most remarkable people in cinema for elevating trash films as something beautiful and exhilarating. Challenging the norms and being true to himself are the factors I liked about him. Favorite band: Sigur Ros. Despite the language barrier, their music grounds me. I like how ethereal their sound is, and how they incorporate classical and rock elements together. Favorite meal of all time: World Chicken's asian noodles, grilled chicken and mashed potatoes. I'm a great fan of carbs and savory dishes. Hobbies: Going to film and theater festivals, reading, boxing, dancing, art markets and warehouse sales, playing the piano
