We’ve just spent the last six weeks in transit from Home Owners to New World Travellers... Thanks to the amazing generosity of our pals Brian and Henny, we were able to use their wonderful French home in the period immediately following the sale of our own French cottage after nine years of rural bliss. We still have itchy feet and have elected to travel till we’re done travelling. It has been a momentous six weeks. We lost our wonderful old dog, Molly who, to the end, fought against the growing darkness. We were in the midst of renovating our old Motorhome, Isabella... well she was a Benimar, a real Spanish beauty. Whilst shopping for some accessories we espied a Hymer for sale. We were impressed... Two days later Molly passed away, and in an effort to lighten our gloom, we went and bought Hamish, our long wished for Hymer. His pedigree name is Hamish - The Jock Frog. We spent a great week with Calum, Jenny and Alexis, who had come for their last annual visit to Rierette, our French home... Last week we took delivery of Hamish. We have finished ‘sea trials’ and are now at point of departure. A 4 month supply of drugs is stored in our locker. Foreign internet is now arranged. A small bag of winter clothing is onboard for emergencies, and we are awash with suntan lotion; diahorrea tabs; Greek phrase books, and the remains of our wine cellar. I have a bottle of Pusser’s Rum as back-up... PREPI NA FLYO TORA. (I have to go now). Greece Here we come
